The Wiretap Electronic Text Archive

This is one of the early repositories of government documents and other electronic texts on the Internet. Accessible via the World Wide Web but still in Gopher text format, Wiretap has links to thousands of electronic documents. Many are government documents taken from around the world. One especially interesting area is the world constitution pages which allows you to compare and contrast the U.S. Constitution with many others. The full texts of hundreds of classic books, poems, myths, and essays by the likes of Mark Twain, Francis Bacon, and Aesop can all be found using the links found at this page.
