The Papers of George Washington

While there are 135,000 known Washington papers, this site features only a selection. The papers selected to appear on the Web page have been well-chosen, some are famous and some are less well-known. The selected documents are well-organized with brief introductions and a facsimile of the original, as well as an easier to read typed version.
