Based on a selection from the J. E. Berger Foundation's 100,000 slides, this site enables visitors to view art from different perspectives. Subjects include Angkor, Vermeer, the gardens of the Renaissance, Botticelli, Roman portraits from Egypt, Abydos, and selected works of art from Egypt, China, Japan, India, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar/Burma. Each graphic is accompanied by a text that puts the art in context and perspective. Links to pages on similar topics and a search engine are also provided. The text is available in both English and French.
