This Web site is a stunning example of a site created by students as a class project. The site offers a virtual tour of the Renaissance, as if you had traveled back through time. There is a vast amount of information here, but it is easily accessed thanks to the site's thoughtful design. Navigation is by means of a clickable map, or by choosing the name of a location or character. The site explores every aspect of medieval and Renaissance life food and clothing, art and science, discovery and trade, religion and society, politics and law. A chronology, a glossary, a bibliography of print resources, and links to other sites are included. An interesting and useful section describes how the site was created.
