The Victorian Web

Designed by a professor for use in connection with literature classes at Brown University, the Victorian Web covers all aspects of society in the Victorian era from religion and philosophy to the arts, sciences, and even gender matters. The Victorian Web includes a sizable amount of first-rate original content. Organized by subject and fully searchable, the site is clearly laid out, making its scholarly articles and richly detailed graphics and pictures easy to navigate. The site includes biographies of famous Victorians, timelines, bibliographies, a dozen links to other sites, and numerous embedded hypertext links.
