This site provides access to all 440 articles of the Versailles Treaty in one downloadable file. You can also browse the articles by topic. Sources and suggested readings provide a bibliography for further research. There are also links to other World War I sites. A section of maps, charts, photos, and political cartoons explain the situation in Europe at the time and the impact of the treaty. The maps are especially useful in helping to understand the momentous geographical changes that resulted from the decisions made by the major powers at their Versailles meetings. The cartoons provide insight into contemporary views of the peace-making process.
