Seeds of Change Garden

Taking Columbus's visits to the New World as its starting point, this site looks at how his introduction of new foods impacted history. Everyone must eat to survive. Using that common denominator, the activities at this site stress what we share with people in other parts of the world and how we can learn from one another. The site is very activity oriented and includes such items as a menu from 1492, Food Legends, Cultural Borrowings, a history of the New World through food crops, and information on slave ships. There are also links to garden and diversity activities, recipes, and other sites about gardening.
