Flints and Stones: Real Life in Prehistory

This fabulous site put together by the Museum of Antiquities at the University of Newcastle, England, explores the lives of the inhabitants of prehistoric Britain and northwest Europe. Refreshingly uncluttered and written in plain English, the site is divided into several sections, each discussing a different aspect of prehistoric human life. One section makes a game out of figuring out which plants early man could or could not eat. Another discusses the many misconceptions about prehistoric life, and still another has an archeologist explain the lives and environment of prehistoric men and women.
