A People at War




This exhibit highlights the contributions of Americans, both civilian and military, who served their country during World War II. The site consists of a variety of documents and photographs, along with a narrative text. The sections are titled Prelude to War, New Roles, Women Who Served, The War in the Pacific, The War in Europe, Science Pitches In, and The War Is Over. This useful, interesting, and attractive site will help students gain an understanding of what those who lived through World War II experienced.
