This searchable site from the Library of Congress features panoramic maps depicting U.S. and Canadian cities and towns. These maps, also known as bird's-eye views, were popular during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The site provides an overview of panoramic mapping, biographies of the most well-known mapmakers, and a selected bibliography. This Web page can be searched by keyword or browsed by geographic location or subject. The site is still under construction and more maps are to be added.
