At many Web pages about the Middle Ages, the contents are too dry and academic for high school students. NetSERF is an exception, connecting visitors to resources on the medieval era that often have a quirky and even irreverent feel to them. There are over a dozen categories of information about the Middle Ages including cooking, clothing, and medieval games. More traditional medieval resources include full text transcripts of classic literature (e.g., Beowulf)and links to pages on medieval history, culture, and art. A collection of medieval fonts and clip art that can be integrated into school reports or multimedia presentations is another example of what makes this site so useful and interesting for students.
