The African American Mosaic

This site celebrates the publication of The African-American Mosaic, the first library-wide resource guide to the Library of Congress's African-American collections. What is found here is only a sample of the materials and themes covered by the Library's collections but it is an excellent on-line resource. The four areas covered on the Web page are Colonization, Abolition, Migrations, and the Works Progress Administration (WPA). This site includes photographs and many primary source documents. It is a little slow to load, but worth the wait.
