Martin Luther King, Jr., Directory

This site provides secondary sources about Dr. Martin Luther King as well as primary documents written by and about him during his lifetime. A biography and chronology are provided, both of which offer links to further study. The actual papers section requires a one-time free registration that enables the student to access the numerous materials written by and about King, such as his "Letter from Birmingham Jail" and his Nobel Prize acceptance speech. From this site, one can link to the King Center in Atlanta, established by King's widow, Coretta Scott King. The material at this site is being constantly added to and updated by the members of the King Papers Project at Stanford.
