Military and Diplomatic Biography




An eclectic selection of concise biographies of key world military and diplomatic leaders from Scipio Africanus to contemporary figures. The majority of the people included are from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Scipio, Oliver Cromwell, and Napoleon I being the exceptions. In one case, the House of Romanov, an entire dynasty, is included. The list includes U.S. presidents, such as Abraham Lincoln and George Bush, U.S. military leaders such as Claire Chennault and James Doolittle, and foreign leaders such as Joseph Stalin and Neville Chamberlain.
