Making Maps Easy to Read

This Web site summarizes a research project that set out to discover some of the factors that make maps easy to read and use. There are five main sections Depicting a Surface on a Map, Map Typography, Eye Movements and Maps, Other Map Symbols, and an Overview. Interesting sample maps are included.
