The Gettysburg Address

This on-line exhibit from the Library of Congress displays images of draft copies of the Gettysburg Address and provides some interesting facts about the document. Images at the site include the Gettysburg Address, Lincoln's invitation to Gettysburg, and the only known photograph of Lincoln at Gettysburg. Transcriptions of the handwritten document are included. An interesting section of the Web site describes the techniques used to preserve old documents and includes photographs of the preservation process.
