The Gate of Heavenly Peace

Based on the documentary of the same name, which aired on "Frontline," this site provides information on the making of the film, the debates and controversy surrounding it, as well as the key characters. In addition, the visitor can access an Interactive Tour of Tiananmen Square, view the Democracy Wall, obtain information on the themes relevant to the 1989 uprising, and view a chronology of events.
