Fighters on the Farm Front

This Web site commemorates Oregon's Emergency Farm Labor Service, a program designed to ensure an adequate supply of farm labor during and immediately after World War II. The site is rich in images mostly photographs, but also posters and other documents. There are sections describing the contributions of women, youth, migrant workers, and prisoners of war. This is a good introduction for students to a little known side of the war effort.
