EyeWitness: History Through The Eyes Of Those Who Lived It

EyeWitness uses diaries, interviews, newspaper reports, and other first-hand sources to recount some of history's most famous events, including Custer's Last Stand, the murder of Thomas Becket, and the San Francisco earthquake of 1906, through the eyes and words of those who experienced them. Each event features a written overview of the event, pictures, diaries, and other first-hand accounts. Currently the site covers just over a dozen historical events but more are to be added.
