This content-rich Web site is named in honor of Frederick Douglass. It is an electronic archive of American public addresses. The site is extremely well-organized and easy to use. It's open-ended and the addition of speeches or documents important to American history is ongoing. The database of speeches can be searched using keywords or browsed by speaker, by title, chronologically, or by controversy/movement. There are also links to various on-line reference sources and to other resources on speeches.
