This site provides a college-level research paper on the Library of Alexandria. The paper is part of the Perseus Project at Tufts University. Hypertext footnotes, names, and terms lead to explanatory information. The page opens with a graphic element, a map of the area around the spot where the alleged library stood alleged because the library may be more legend than fact. The paper includes a great deal of information about the era and the writers of the time.
