First Nations Histories

While not fully complete in mid-1997, this site is intended to provide histories of the approximately 240 Native tribes now or once located within the boundaries of the current United States. By providing a compact history of the tribe and links to other sites for each nation, the site will provide a wide range of information about Native Americans. The First Nations site currently includes information on the forty-one nations that populated the northeast corner of the United States. The site index brings up an alphabetical listing with nine pages of articles, essays, appeals, and actions taken by Native American groups around the country.
