The WHY Files

The WHY Files looks at the science behind today's news headlines. (The stock market was one topic for May 1, 1997.) The site answers questions such as: Is there a relationship between eyesight and diet? Why were hurricanes so common last year? The archives are organized under headings for biology, environmental science, health science, technology, and social sciences. Nearly all articles include links to other sites of interest. The Cool Images page offers teachers great ice breakers for new class topics.

Awards include Cool Site of the Day, Eisenhower National Clearinghouse Digital Dozen, Blue Planet, Medaille d'Or, and many more.
