Molecular Expressions: Images from the Microscope

This site contains a photo gallery with more than forty categories. There are molecular images of sugar, ice cream, soft drinks, pesticides, moon rocks, and more. Each category contains a brief discussion of the items considered and information about how the images were created. New categories are planned. If you want to know how to make images like these check out the "Microscopy Primer." "Microscopes: The Art of Photomicrography" also discusses the creation of these images by describing the creation of over thirty images.
