Rivers of Life: Mississippi Adventure

Although your class or group must subscribe to take full advantage of this site, there are many useful public sections. You can link to U.S. watershed maps. You can read biographies and the text of the on-line chats with guests. Guests' occupations include prairie poet, lock-and-dam educator, and flood-plain farmer. Read eyewitness flood reports illustrated with photos. You can also read the instructions for the three subscription projects: tracking flood levels on the Mississippi, documenting a watershed, and exploring the history of a river.
