Lung Lab Tour

This site offers a set of images of the lung made with the Scanning Electron Microscope and organized in hyperimage format. This format allows you to travel through the lung and see in more and more detail its structure. The large images take a long time to load, but they're worth the wait. There are only brief descriptions of the images and much of the text relates to the use of the electron microscope. It's a great way for a high school student to see what an electron microscope can do and to see how professionals use it.
