Salman Rushdie

Salman Rushdie has been living incognito since the publication of his novel Satanic Verses in 1989 led to assassination threats by the Iranian government for Rushdie's alleged insults toward Islam. This site not only provides information on all his published works but also includes interviews, articles, quotes, a bibliography of published works on-line, and a glossary of colloquialisms he has used in his works. In addition, there is a substantial list of related material, many in other languages, about Rushdie, his work, and the general issues of free speech and terrorism.
