This site uses hyperlinks to unite literature and historical facts. There are twenty poems, of a planned twenty-six, by the Irish poet Mághréad Medbh. The poems follow a poor rural family through the Great Irish Famine of 1845-1849 and contain extensive links to historical information as well as giving explanations of Irish words and phrases. The page also has links to Famine Pages and other poetry sites.
