American Slanguages

At this site, the visitor can choose a city and see a list of terms that are unique to that area its "slanguage." Some of the areas represented in mid-1997 were Atlanta; Bar Harbor, Maine; Chicago; Dallas; New Orleans; the Philadelphia Main Line; Portland, Orgeon; San Diego; and Washington, DC. The site is still evolving, adding more cities on a regular basis. The visitor can also add slanguage terms, take a Slanguage Quiz, and link to the Slanguage Time Tunnel.
