The Decrypt Dialog
The Decrypt dialog appears when an encrypted
file must be extracted and WinZip® needs to obtain the encryption password.
Note that files are extracted not only for the
Extract action but also when you view or open a file (e.g., by double
clicking it) and when you use actions such as Test,
Install, CheckOut,
and Virus Scan.
To use the dialog:
- Type the password in the Enter password edit field.
- Tip: check the Mask password check box to
prevent the password from being displayed as you type it.
- Click OK to begin extracting the file(s).
