Before the triple-jump was introduced to the modern day Olympics, there was the cell relay. For conditioning concerns, the participants were required to attend the cell-relay retreat, which consisted of learning terms such as AVSSCS (Audio-Visual Service Specific Convergence Sublayer), MTP3 (Message Transfer Protocol 3), and Traffic Contract. Those who weren't ready, sat out fours until the next cell-relay retreat.
