  • Highlights (French version):

    • The pictures on the first 10 pages (the big 2 page images) are different: the French version has pictures of Shishigami's forest, whereas the Japanese version contains backgrounds from the first sequence of the film.
    • The production schedule of Princess Mononoke which appears at the end of the Japanese version has been replaced by 6 pages of text with some comments on the film, a biography of Miyazaki, and a short presentation of Ghibli's other works.

It is quite a beautiful book. Unlike some of other "Art of" books, this one does not contain the script, but it contains the production diaries of Studio Ghibli, detailing the three-year process of the movie making. It also has a section about CG in Mononoke Hime.
