It is a normal day in the life of Kurata Sana, if you could call her days "normal". In this first episode of Kodomo no Omocha we are introduced to the focus of the show, Kurata Sana. The episode begins with Sana introducing herself and referring to Rei as her manager, boyfriend and gigolo. The Kurata household is introduced with Sana's mother, Kurata Mariko affectionately referred to as "Mama ".
As the episode progresses, the story follows Sana to her school. Sana however has the unfortunate luck to be in the same class with one Hayama Akito, who just happens to be blackmailing two teachers. With the teachers put in their place, the boys have the run of the class room, which upsets Sana to the point of raging frustration because her teacher is being continuously disrupted.
This anger follows Sana to work, on the set of the show Kodomo no Omocha. While taping a live show of Kodomo no Omocha, Sana continues to fume, even while on camera, and ends up with Sana cursing Hayama on the air.
The next day, Sana faces the reality that she must face off against the boys for what she said about Hayama. She confronts the remaining boys in class, but before anything results, Hayama calls the boys off. Sana returns to class only to find that the boys have got into a water gun fight with the teacher, (did I mention the guns were filled with ink?) and continuously assault the teacher. As the episode ends Sana squirts Hayama in the face.
Sana has had enough.
