Cavs place banged-up Brandon on injured list

CLEVELAND -- Terrell Brandon, the Cleveland Cavaliers' leading scorer, was placed on the injured list Sunday with a bruised tail bone and sprained right rotator cuff.

Brandon has missed two games since getting hurt during Thursday night's game at Milwaukee. He averages 19.2 points a game.

The Cavaliers also were without their other starting guard, Bobby Phills, who bruised his leg and sprained his knee against Milwaukee, but he has not been placed on the injured list.

To replace Brandon on the roster the Cavaliers activated backup forward Joe Courtney, who had been on the injured list since Jan. 27 because of tendinitis in the right shoulder.
