Good Witch
Not bad looking bubbles....
This is a variation of the shader "fuzzy", even though it doesn't look like it. It makes "bubbles" that are clear through the centre with the colour creeping in at the edges. Again, this shader works great on spheres, other results may be less desirable. The results look pretty good when combined with a 3D texture.
OPTIONS:
- Sharpness
New Behaviour. The controls the final transparency of the object. Old versions required the object to be completely opaque when it reached the high threshold. A sharpness value of zero will keep the same value. Otherwise, it allows you to have the object transparent to a degree at levels equal to, or higher than, the high threshold.
- Low Threshold
This value sets the point at where the transparency ends and the object starts to appear. A value of zero starts fading in the object right at the center (absolutely no void in the middle). A value of 90 would result in nothing being seen).
- High Threshold
This value sets the outward distance for the extent of the soft edge. Past this value will be the full object.. A full value (90) represents the original outline of the object, with lower values shrinking in size.
- Falloff
New Behaviour. This controls the type of falloff in the transition area. 0.5 results in a linear falloff, with it increasing or decreasing with the set value.
NOTES:
- This shader works best with convex, smoothly curved objects (such as spheres and the like). Very angular objects or objects with cavities will produce interesting (or weird!) results.
