Southern African Intercultural Network (SAIN)

Co-operation with partners in Southern Africa (specially Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia), to develop capacity in the local organisations in each country so as to implement sustainable activities and programmes.

As a result of Guest Teacher Programmes with Ireland, Denmark and Sweden, there are a few teachers in each country forming the potential nucleus of a new partner organisation. We hope to develop these organisations with assistance from the international Partners who have dealt with these countries for a few years.

We envisage the growth of WALK Community Service Programmes, Year Programmes, Guest Teacher Programmes, and domestic initiatives to these Partners.

Network of Conflict Resolution Organisations in Schools

With some other Conflict Resolution NGO's we have developed a network of organisations involved in schools. The aim is to share resources and ideas, and to work with the Gauteng Department of Education in the schools.

Other Key Players in this network include CDRT, IMSSA, Wilgespruit Letsema, TALK, NPAT, Unisa, MCC, Street Law, CALS.
