SOUTH EAST REGION

back to map

In the south east corner of Australia from South Australia, through Victoria and New South Wales there are more similarities with the north coast tropical societies.

The ready availability of water, rich profusion of plant and animal life and for the coastal dwellers, food from the sea have made it possible for the southerners to be more sedentary, the environment allowing for greater population density and increased variation of languages.
