Posio is a municipality in North-eastern Lapland offering a variety of things to do. Located in the heart of the traditional Lappish region. The land area is 3586.6 km2. Posio has a population of 5350 persons and approximately 6000 reindeer.

- The Korouoma Canyon and frozen waterfalls, unique in Finland.
- The many kilometres long sandy beaches of lakes LivojΣrvi and HietajΣrvi.
- PentikmΣki: Pentik retail outlets and the International Coffee Cup Museum, Art Gallery.
- Museum of Local History and Culture at Lohiranta, open in the summer
- The Riisitunturi National Park

Leisure time
Posio has 51 km of well-maintained cross-country skiing tracks, including so-called warmer tracks, ski slopes, ski jump. Also 280 km of snowmobile routes and approximately 140 km of hiking routes.

Shopping at PentikmΣki
PentikmΣki is a meeting place for lovers of ceramic, artistic and traditional handicraft products. In addition to the Pentik factory retail outlet, you will also find a cafeteria, the Muistoja Maalta Museum displaying thousands of peasant objects from 1800 -1900. The International Coffee Cup Museum has a collection of around 2000 coffee cups from almost 70 different countries.
