SUMMER ACTIVITIES IN SOUTHERN PÄIJÄNNE
The PäijΣnne National Park is a very popular destination in the summer.You can reach the islands of the Park by taking a boat trip on a safe and well equipped boat.
Canoeing enthusiasts will also be pleased to find a number of routes on offer to either travel alone or as part of a guided trip. We have canoes and all the necessary equipment for hire.
There are a number of good places to fish. Why not have your own private lake? By taking part in a guided fishing trip you will be taken to the best fishing places. There are trout, river salmon, whitefish, pike, perch and alpine char, so thereÆs a lot to choose from.
At the "Rapala Fishing School" you will get basic information on different fishing methods and practical information on lure fishing. Tuition is carried out by FinlandÆs best lure fishermen.
Forest trails and small roads will lead the hiker or biker into idyllic countryside or nearly untouched wilderness areas offering an almost unimaginable experience.
On special offer for summer 1997 is a guided day trip by boat to the town of Jyväskylä (270 km). During this day you will see the great lake from one end to another. When in Jyväskylä, you may wish to visit the bustling marketplace or see the sights of the town centre. Also at the idyllic Savutvan Apaja a couple of hours will speed by - enjoying lunch or looking at the historic buildings.
