Scoop Feedback:

April 10, 1998... [Page riddled with bullet holes from 'Deadpool'.]

It had looked like this would have been Arnold Schwarzennegger's next film project up until last month when the actor committed to starring in Universal Picture's End of Days. Roger Spottiswoode has been attached as director to the troubled project; no word if he's still linked to it after Schwarzennegger's depature.

October 11, 1998...This anonymous scooper says, "Some rumors are going on here in Toronto saying that the filming will take place in Canada and Michael Bay has apparently been asked to direct it." Hey, we'll believe anything for at least five minutes. Thing is, Bay's on every H-wood producer's hot sheet as their dream director for their project...so ultimately it'll be up to Bay to decide which A-list project becomes his next film. [Scoop provided anonymously]

October 20, 1998... Jack Stenson has this response to a previous scoop, and we've gotten a couple to this effect: "Well, Michael Bay is contractually bound to direct his next film with Disney/Touchstone/Hollywood Pictures. Given the fact that this film is a TriStar property, unless Disney notches overseas or domestic rights on a split rights deal with Sony, I don't think Michael Bay is going to be its helmer." Stranger things have been known to happen, Jack, but that's something to consider. Bay's next picture looks to be pretty much set in stone at Disney, but you just never know. [Thanks to Jack Stenson, 'jonze,' for the word.]

October 25, 1998... "That scoop about Bay is nonsense, since Columbia does not have a script anyone likes!" our new scooper tells us. "Columbia has been begging writers to take this doomed project on for months now. So far, no luck..." [Anonymous.]
