June 7, 1998... In April Daily Variety reported that Imagine Entertainment has made a deal to bring Sprockets to the big screen. Myers will cowrite and star in the film and will be paid the greater of $10 million or 10% of the box office gross step back into the black Doc Martins soles of Dieter, sources claim. In addition, Myers will share an undisclosed writing fee with a co-scribe to be named, but it's expected Myers will first reprise his shaggadelic secret agent Austin Powers in the sequel to New Line's hit '97 movie. Imagine principal Brian Grazer will produce Sprockets for Universal. [Reported from a German niteclub by 'Deadpool' and his monkey.]
