A Sound of Thunder

Genre: Fantasy/Science Fiction.

Studio: Dimension Films.
Production Company: Baldwi-Cohen Productions.

Project Phase: Development Hell.

Who's In It: No one confirmed as yet.
Who's Making It: Breck Eisner (Director); Thomas Dean Donnelly, Joshua Oppenheimer (Screenwriters); based on the short story by Ray Bradbury.

Premise: Time-travelling hunters return to the time of the dinosaurs to go for the ultimate prey: a tyrannosaurus rex. For fear of changing the timeline every single item of consequence is accounted for: the hunters never touch the ground, the bullets quickly deteriorate into nothing, and the animal selected to be shot will die in moments anyway...so what could go wrong? A very small thing, but it's enough.

Release Date: Unknown.

Comments: Previously adapted for The Twilight Zone and The Ray Bradbury Theater, this is one of the better-known stories of Uncle Ray's career. But it is a short story, and so how will the screenwriters choose to adapt it into a feature-length film?

Rumors: Unknown.
