April 23, 1996... Sandblast has been officially shelved until further notice. Word came from Warner Bros. due to a variety of reasons: poor weather conditions in the Middle East, an escalating budget and the loss of two major stars associated with the project. [Scoop submitted anonymously.]

June 6, 1996... Snipes is back aboard the project again. He's slated to film the project directly after completing his work on Mike Figgis' One Night Stand film. [Scoop send in by 'Sylvester'.]

July 2, 1996... Now we're told by an anonymous source that Snipes and Carson may be off the project with "new annoucements" coming soon. [Scoop mailed in anonymously.]
