July 26, 1998... Don't be fooled by the new page entry for this project: this film has been in the works for some time, never escaping development hell. Exec producer Scott Rosenberg stated in an interview last year that the project is on hold, mentioning that the draft Turman provided was rejected. Since the comic series is defunct is there any chance this will ever become a movie? Stranger things have happened. [Originally appeared in Comics2Film, Mania; reported by 'Widgett' who won't mention the name "Billy Batson." Damn, he did it anyway.]
