May 30, 1998... This project had been reported to have both Francis Ford Coppola and Tim Burton trying to bring it to the screen, possibly even a musical version. Winona Ryder's name has been mentioned as a possible lead. Regardless, it's now in the hands of Dreamworks. Production is reported to start late this summer in Australia. [Reported by 'Widgett'.]
