Premise: Ray and Claude are two men who are wrongly convicted of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment at a Mississippi penitentiary. Over the course of 60 years, they witness hardship and kindness, cruelty and forgiveness, life and death. But their humorous way of looking at life prevails as their friendship deepens and endures, and the pair never lose hope that one day, somehow, they will walk outside the prison walls as free men.

Comments: Eddie Murphy seems to be in love with Imagine Entertainment. After The Nutty Professor, which Imagine produced, he did Metro, Dr. Dolittle and Holy Man at other studios. He'll now do 3 consecutive movies for Imagine (Life, Bofinger's Big Thing, The Nutty Professor 2).
