August 22, 1996... Walter Hill boards the plane as director. Production is slated to start in December. [Scoops mailed in by Christian and 'compukiller'.]

November 5, 1996... While browsing the Lockheed Martin Corporation web page this scooper found a picture of Bruce Willis and an airforce pilot in front of an F-16 Falcon. Nothing was mentioned on the page about the movie, but it could have somthing to do with it. The scooper provides the address 'http://www.lmco.com/photo/a-z.html' for any interested viewers. February 8, 1998... This project's just been shuffled to Paramount's '$0 budget' list; meaning: it's been cancelled. [Scoop sent in by 'Capt. Doghouse'.]

February 10, 1998... A scoop sent in earlier than the February 8th one has turned up: in it, the writer says Walter Hill is definitely out of the project, and Paramount is hiring an A-list writer to pen a fast rewrite, " then Icarus should finally fly." [Anonymous.]
