Premise: In Greek mythology, the Furies were vengeful spirits who you would not want to meet in a well-lit alleyway. Normally, their mission was to punish the guilty among the living and drive them to kill themselves. The Furies were separate entities from any wronged dead spirit. In this new updated version, the vengeful spirits are nerds who died in an accident and return to haunt their surviving classmates' five-year high school reunion.

Comments: Rather than Euripides, as was reported, I wonder if it is not Aeschylus' Eumenides that is being adapted here, although it is a loose one even with the modernization taken out of the picture. No pun intended. In Aeschylus' play, Orestes exacts vengeance on his mother, Clytemnestra, for the murder of his father, Agamemnon. He is pursued by the Furies as a matricide until he is cleared of wrongdoing in a trial thanks to Athena. Somehow I doubt Orestes needed masking tape to hold his helmet together.
