July 8, 1997... Both Jackie Chan and Wesley Snipes are now out of the project's development. Apparently Chan wanted to do Rush Hour and Snipes wanted to do it only because Chan was in it. November 10, 1997... Bryan Goluboff's script has been dismissed pending the new draft by Josh Friedman, this scooper reports. Friedman, who recently wrote a remake of Seven Samurai for Martin Scorsese's company, is basing his new draft on completely fresh material. As well, a Hong Kong magazine interviewed Michelle Yeoh. In it, the magazine listed Michelle Yeoh and Martin Lawrence as the two stars of the film, as well as Jet Li. [Reported anonymously.]
