Scoop Feedback:
June 24, 1996... [Project announcement courtesy of Christian.]
September 23, 1996... Steve Perry (author of the Shadows of the Empire novel as well as numerous Batman: The Animated Series episodes) has written the screenplay (along with a second unnamed screenwriter.) Russell Mulcahy (Highlander, Fortress, The Shadow) is slated to direct, with the storyline borrowing from the often-used template The Most Dangerous Game. Man wanders into small town, townspeople hunt men that wander into the small town. Needless to say, this really hurts the tourism trade. [Scoop provided by field agent Brent Lynch. Howdy!]
May 24, 1997... The creator of Black Cross, Chris Warner, was Steve Perry's collaborator on the screenplay. This according to the editorial in the comic book Black Cross: Dirty Work, published by Dark Horse Comics in April '97. [Scoop sent in by Ronny.]
May 25, 1997... Chris Warner posted in the Black Cross comic folder that the movie has stalled. A script premise could not be agreed upon. [Sent in anonymously.]
